Here it is, finally--all the pretty animals I journaled about months and months ago! I project ended up being much more ambitious than I originally intended, since I ultimately decided to include a background. ~DeathscytheChan's request to be a deep sea spiny fish thing gave me the idea to send our feral forms into an aquarium, which required a background, but not just any background--a thought-out background with plenty of detail. I am rather pleased with the outcome of this, of course. I experimented with effects, like reflections and trying to make the fish look like they were really underwater and behind glass... and I hand-vectored all the shadows except for the gradients of the floor. That took a while. If you have any comments or suggestions on the shadows, please, let me know. I'm trying to get better at it.

In my world, Verros, there are many different sentient species. Among them are humans and sentient animals--called sents for short. Spotted lions are an example of one of the sentient animal breeds (I have only developed a few). There are fox-like sent breeds, but for the sake of this pic actual foxes get to be sentient. Sents used to be slaves to the humans at one point in certain parts of Verros, but are now more or less merged into human society, so they do very human things, like go to school, get jobs... and yes, go to zoos and aquariums. Aren't they just too cute? They don't really seem to know what to make of that big-toothed thing staring at them... except =FoxKelfonne, who's apparently teasing an anglerfish in the background. XD

I'm still working on the idea and breeds of sents, though. For example, these five creatures all represent different breeds of sent, as does Foxie, Kappa's little sidekick. Verros is still under construction...
